Austin Root is the Chief Investment Officer of Stansberry Asset Management and is responsible for the development and management of investment strategies across all SAM portfolios. Prior to joining SAM, Austin was the Director of Research at Stanberry Research and the Portfolio Manager for the company’s portfolio solutions products. Austin has had a decorated career on Wall Street working for firms like SAC Capital Advisors, The Blackstone Group and North Oak Capital which received a strategic investment from famed hedge fund manager Julian Robertson and Tiger Management.
