“Nothing stops this train.”
I couldn’t have put it better myself.
A few months ago, I watched a presentation by Lyn Alden.
She was talking about Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” and summed it up like this:
Now that federal debt is over 100% of GDP, when the Fed raises interest rates they ironically increase the deficit faster than they slow private credit growth. Basically, they don’t have brakes anymore. Nothing stops this train because the brakes are gone.”
I thought Lyn’s observations were so on-point I retweeted the video, with this comment:

That’s the reality…
The deficits aren’t slowing. The spending isn’t stopping. And the train is headed exactly where we’ve been warning all along – over the edge.
That’s why I pay such close attention to Lyn’s work.
She doesn’t sugarcoat it. She cuts through the noise, lays out the numbers without bias, and shows you what’s really happening under the surface.
And that’s why I think it’s important you read her latest premium research report – for an inside look at the fiscal train wreck bearing down on America, and what it means for your money.
Normally Lyn’s best work is locked behind a $249 paywall. And rightly so. She’s one of the sharpest independent macro analysts in the world. But today you can read it for free, as part of our Spotlight series.
We don’t usually share full research reports outside our service. But Lyn went above and beyond with her latest deep-dive, so we’re making the entire thing available to you:

There’s a lot in there I think you’ll get real value from.
On Bitcoin…
The valuation metrics that I monitor for the Bitcoin network continue to look healthy, meaning that there are no signs that a major cycle top is in place yet. I continue to be both long-term bullish on the asset, and cyclically bullish with a 12-month view as well.”
Exactly. Still has plenty of gas in the tank. That’s why I’ve always said “own some.” Not because it’s fun or flashy. But because it’s insurance against a financial system destined one day, for collapse.
On gold…
The flight-to-safety metal barely caught a bid during the military activities against Iran, and as that turmoil dissipated, it once again chopped down to the lower end of its recent range… In general, I continue to have a lackluster intermediate-term view on gold even as I remain bullish in the longer-term sense.”
Gold didn’t flinch, even when the headlines screamed “war.” That tells you sentiment is flat, not exuberant. And that’s good news. The best long-term buys never feel urgent in the moment.
Lyn and I may use different language, but we’re pointing at the same storm forming on the horizon: deficits are locked in, paper money is in retreat, scarce assets are a great home for your capital.
In the report Lyn also dives into how stress is already creeping into the banking system. And she explains why platinum, after years in the doldrums, has suddenly roared back to life.
It’s an essential snapshot of what’s going on right now.
But Lyn’s research is just one piece of a much bigger and more ambitious project called Rebel Capitalist Pro, run by my friend George Gammon.
George has pulled together a team of world-class analysts (Lyn among them) who dig into every layer of the system. The gears, cogs, and machinery grinding beneath the surface of the market.
I follow Rebel Capitalist Pro myself and I see a lot of parallels between what George and his team are doing and what we’re trying to achieve here at Porter & Co.
They’re conducting original research, sharing trading ideas, building model portfolios, and broadcasting live Q&A sessions where you can hear directly from the people connecting the dots.
Like us, they’re looking beyond the headlines… at the important stuff that could actually help make a big positive difference to your wealth.
That’s why I asked George to open up special terms just for my readers – so you can look under the hood and give Rebel Capitalist Pro a try, under no pressure.
My advice: Go here now to see what’s on offer.
Good investing,
Porter Stansberry
P.S. If you missed last week’s Spotlight, we shared an exclusive video that gives you an inside look at some of the best analysis from the team at Rebel Capitalist Pro – including some specific trade ideas.
Grab a drink, it’s well worth your time: watch it right here.
